At my practice, people have come to me with a wide range of emotional challenges. These challenges have disrupted my clients’ personal, relational, familial and/or occupational lives. Some clients began therapy with me because they experienced feelings of inadequacy, lack of meaning or emptiness in their lives. Others felt angry, anxious and/or depressed. Some had trouble creating and maintaining close intimate relationships. These clients realised  that their emotional or social well being, or professional progress suffered as a result of their difficulties to understand who they are and what they need and want.

 

I have also worked with people whose troubling life experiences, including past relationships and experiences of loss and grief, made it difficult for them to meet life's everyday demands and build for themselves the life they wished for. 

 

I have worked with people and families in states of crisis and turmoil, that forced them to "recalculate their route” within themselves, as part of a couple, or as a parent. 

 

Since moving to Berlin people have come to me to help with the pressures of immigration. These transitions can take us from our familiar resources: emotional, social and financial, loading us with new challenges, provoking questions of identity and demanding finding new coping paths, both practical and emotional.

In these and many other situations, the decision to start therapy is a blessed, but seldom an easy one to make. Often, it is a process, through which a person faces some of the issues she/he is struggling with, and realises that further progress might require a companion for the road.
